We wanted a keypad entry for our new front door, instead of the included hardware. Very friendly, and got right to work, only to find that the door holes were drilled too small for our new lock. Pop-A-Lock did a great job – we are very happy with their expertise, service and quality and would recommend them highly. What’s more, we found out that they can also help us replace our lost car remote entry key!

Had starting problem with Mazda Tribute.( would take 5 or 6 flips of the key to engage. Took it to Auto Electric in Burnside Dartmouth. $ 488.00 later the car was was the same as when I took it in. For that kind of money they told me it ” should ” be a little better than it was. Yep $ 488.00 !! took it to Pop A Lock and Kyle wiggled and jiggled and tested and tested. Wonderful experience with Pop-A-Lock
I cannot recommend Pop-A-Lock highly enough. We needed to replace an electronic key and fob for our Kia Soul. Not only did Pop-A-Lock offer us a much more reasonable replacement cost for it than the Kia dealer, they were able to replace it within 24 hours, much more quickly than the dealer. In fact, it was the dealer that recommended them in the first place. Even better, with their mobile service Matt came to our house to do the programming. We were notified in advance of his scheduled visit, sent updates. Matt was very professional, arriving on time, helpful and informative from the start. We had a terrific experience with Pop-A-Lock and would use them again.

I was in the Costco Barrie parking lot with my convertible sports car when I locked the key in the trunk with the car in LOCKED mode. I could open the door ( with the 2 min alarm going off every time.) The electric button was disabled. It’s my only key. (The car is a month new to me.). Dealer wants ownership ( auto locked in the glovebox) and 3 days for a new key. So I called my CAA and they sent a flat bed (respectable 1 hr arrival), couldn’t budge the car, cause there is no accessible Park Release. CAA redispatched another truck with dollies to move the car. Driver was 3 hrs out. 🙁 day is going pretty bad now, afternoon is going by, me and my wife are in the middle of the lot with meat in the trunk. I remembered this Pop-a-lock van in my neighbourhood, so I gave him a call. (Now this is Saturday, he could have dusted me off and called it a day). But……The work van showed up and I met Brent, and about 7 min later (OMG) I was on the road heading home to make an unscheduled BBQ party. Lol. The best part of all this, is that Popalock is registered with CAA, and since I already had a call in, it was free!!!!!!!!!!!! :0 Brent, Love you man!

Needed a new key for my car!
The plastic housing around my car key cracked and broke and my auto repair garage recommended another repair service who after two months (!!) of promises and lack of response (luckily I had been able to crazy glue the plastic housing and use the key in the mean time), I called Brent at Pop-A-Lock. He was able to come to my home the next day, make me two new keys, and told me about the partial coverage available to me as a CAA member. He was on time, friendly, efficient and I didn’t have to leave my house! Great service, greatly appreciated.

My key broke off of my fob at home on a Monday morning. Called dealership they said it will be a week and they need my car at the dealership. My other fob is at the bottom of Georgian Bay, so that is not happening. I called CAA for a tow to the dealership, they got me in touch with Brent. Problem solved: he came by that day, Made two key fobs, easy peasy and way cheaper, done the same day.. Thanks Brent.
Milcho rescued our morning
At 7:30 am this morning my wifi enabled schlage lock on the front door would not open. I had to remove the lock from my door with a screw driver to get out of the house. My day seemed ruined until Milcho arrived. He had my front door lock operating in 15 minutes. Thanks Milcho, 5 star work!

Maserati Trunked
March 21, 2018 Milcho from Pop-A-Lock Toronto came to my house to unlock my trunk of a 2006 Maserati QP. The key fell in the trunk unnoticed one day. The car was in storage and the battery was weak and it would not open electronically. At first try he was unable to open my trunk. Later that day he came back for another try and still no luck. He did not give up. He came back a few days later. He created a new key while he was sitting in my drive way. He tried his new creation and to our surprise it worked. Before calling Pop-A-lock I call a few lock smiths in the GTA all said they could not do it or they just did not show up. Pop-A-lock you saved me one week and $650.00 if I would had to deal with the dealership. ************THANK YOU MILCHO OF POP-A-LOCK !!!!!!

Kyle saved the day
After dealing with the dealership who basically told us we were out of luck since the new key they cut for our truck didn’t work, it was such a relief to hear Kyle say he could repair or replace our ignition. If we had listened to the dealership, we would have had our 2004 truck towed to the scrap yard. The dealership told us it wasn’t worth considering fixing the ignition. That the cost would be too much. Not true! Kyle was able to repair the ignition and the cost was really reasonable! So we get to keep driving our truck and will definitely recommend pop a lock to anyone who needs a locksmith. Thanks Kyle.
Key locked in trunk
Locked my keys in my trunk after a visit to Walmart. Within an hour and a half he arrived and was able to open the car door, access the back seat and dismount the seat and access the trunk. Kyle was of great help. He was extra cautious as to not wreck the vehicle (my mother’s BMW) and did everything in his possible to get me the key even when it seemed like impossible. Saved my day! Highly recommend!

I wanted to sincerely thank the PopALock team for responding to an emergency situation I experienced yesterday. I popped out my side door to turn off a tap and little to my knowledge the door auto locked with my sleeping baby inside. Great re-keying and car FOB replacement service!
After checking several locksmiths, I opted for Pop-A-Lock. The price for the first door is higher however, subsequent doors are much cheaper. In my case, I had 4 doors to re-key so it was nice to have a fixed price before the visit. Others charged an admin fee and then a price range from $45 and up per door – so no savings on subsequent doors. I guess if you only have one door, that’s ok but if you have more it’s quite open ended and could become very expensive. Pop-A-Lock took the stress out of it. The locksmith showed up in a marked vehicle, was quick and professional. What really sealed the deal though was that he was also able to replace a car FOB. He had the FOB type in stock and was able to create a copy very quickly and at half the price of the car dealership and without the need to drive there. I’m very happy with the service provided.

What a wonderful surprise ! Returning to Halifax from a family emergency, we discovered our car keys were lost. I lost my only key to my vehicle. Brent not only had the cheapest deal out of multiple places I called, he also was able to do it within the hour that I called. He provided me multiple services that other places would have charged me more for such as picking my lock, getting the key fob, programming the key and cutting an emergency key. Brent went above and beyond to help my situation, came from Barrie to Collingwood, even picked me up to take me to my car to get it programmed so I could drive it home. Brent from Pop-A-Lock came directly to our house and was done in 15 minutes; The price was good with the original quote he provided, but then once he realized we had a key for our vehicle and he could make one off of it, the price was even better. With this mobile service you could not go wrong. We definitely recommend him.

Accidentally left FOB in trunk of foreign car. CAA unable to help. They called Pop-a-Lock and they solved the problem within 30 minutes. Person on the phone was terrific and Kyle, the service guy, was awesome to deal with and a genius at what he does.

After calling 6 other locksmiths and getting nowhere, I was lucky enough to have Jeff from Pop-A-Lock travel to my home and cut keys for my vehicle. The service, price were amazing and the staff made this stressful event a rather pleasant one. These people are efficient, friendly and helpful…explaining each step in the process. AMAZING service from Miloch!
Milosh was patient, professional and continued to help us even after 4 hours in the freezing cold. We became extremely frustrated (not with him, ourselves) for loosing our key and he helped us in every way possible. He kept calm, reassured us it would be fixed and did not give up even after 4 hours of failure to make the correct key due to our car issues. Thank you SO much for your amazing service Milosh! Absolute Lifesavers!
I had an issue with my car’s ignition and when I called Pop-A-Lock, I had an appointment in less than 24 hours from when I called, and Kyle (my hero!) came to my apartment building, jump started my dead car, and fixed the broken ignition in less than an hour. When I called, the receptionist (I’m so sorry I forgot your name love!) was so warm and pleasant, I was very frazzled and she was calm and professional and even laughed at my dumb jokes, which made me feel better. The best thing about Maritime business is you get Maritime hospitality, and Pop-A-Lock is no different. You ladies and gents are fast, reliable, efficient and I can’t thank you enough for helping me get my car back on the road. I will be singing your praises to whoever will listen. You rock!

Wonderful experience with Pop-A-Lock
I cannot recommend Pop-A-Lock highly enough. We needed to replace an electronic key and fob for our Kia Soul. Not only did Pop-A-Lock offer us a much more reasonable replacement cost for it than the Kia dealer, they were able to replace it within 24 hours, much more quickly than the dealer. In fact, it was the dealer that recommended them in the first place. Even better, with their mobile service Matt came to our house to do the programming. We were notified in advance of his scheduled visit, sent updates. Matt was very professional, arriving on time, helpful and informative from the start. We had a terrific experience with Pop-A-Lock and would use them again.

Random mistake. Quick fix.
Thanks to Igor showing up within 20 minutes to pop my lock. Very honest and knowledgeable. Very random way of getting key locked in car. Will it cost ya? Of course, but what else are you gonna do?
